Re: Ted Nugent Sucks
A friend of mine saw him open for kiss and said that at the end of the song, the band did one of those endings where everyone builds up to a frenzy, then there is a moment of silence, and then everyone hits one last little stinger together that resolves the chord progression. Anyway, during that sil...

Re: Rumsfeld says 9-11 plane 'shot down' in Pennsylvania
In Bush at War, Bob Woodward, in the midst of an otherwise detailed account of the event of 9/11, makes absolutely no mention of the Pennsylvania crash. Not the official story, not this one, nothing. I took that to mean that he knew something that even he couldn't write.

Re: Singer wants a harsh sound....
Okay, I know it sounds loony, but singing into a large diaphragm DYNAMIC mic yields some interesting results. I've used an AKGD112 for vocals and the results were harsh, but didn't sound "affected" like running it through distortion would. It also stood up really well to screaming. Really cool is sc...

Jump the Shark
I like to waste time at http://www.jumptheshark.com when I'm at work. The premise involves pinpointing when a good show turned lousy. Ex. when Fonzie jumped the shark on Happy Days, hence the title. Others include when Parker Lewis Can't Lose became just Parker Lewis and lost the crazy sound FX, app...

Snow Falling on Cedars has amazing cinematography. Fairly unexceptional (though not terrible) movie though.

Re: Something that made me feel good.
Bad story from a few weeks ago. Very sad. My rental house tends towards mouse infestation. It's at least a century old and probably full of more holes than swiss cheese. At first, I tried every kind of have-a-heart trap I could find. The big cage, the little thing they walk in and the trap door clos...
By the way..Donnie Darko fricken BLEW!!!!!
Agreed. All style and attitude. Lazy plotting of the story that I'm supposed to forgive because ambiguity is in these days.
