So you were viewing Radiohead from a location that allowed you to determine what software was running on a powerbook? That must have been nice. I know he uses line selectors quite a bit, so routing to a powerbook is certainly possible. Since it seemed so random, I was led to believe it was software ...

Jonny's song ending solo...what is going on here
So, if you find yourself with some extra time on your hands, or are interested in trying to figure out how odd sounds/effects are generated, take a fast forward on this linked video and watch the ending solo by Jonny Greenwood. It is not mind-blowing....possibly a software effect (sounds along the l...

Any Maven-Peal amp owners/users ?
Just wondering if anybody here has had the opportunity to use any Maven-Peal amplifiers. Just looking for some input from users...there are no dealers in my locale, and I believe that Maven-Peal have ceased their manufacturing operations.
Thanks guys.

I just pulled my 002r out of the closet, after about a year and a half or Pro Tools inactivity. I am facing the same dilemma. Digidesign states that the universal version of LE will be out approx. May of this year, and that it will be a free upgrade for all 7 owners. So, in that sense, it will not m...

People erase and reinstall operating systems all the time. Sure it takes a little time to reinstall third party apps and plug-ins, and to update software to the current versions, etc.... but, it really isn't something that should make you trash a computer in order to avoid the procedure. I am assumi...

NS-10 Woofers
I know somebody that posts here has had stock of new NS-10 woofers in the past. Can anybody point me in that person's direction. I know that I can get them on Ebay, but I recalled speaking with somebody that posted here about this. Thank you.

Definitely wait. As mentioned previously, you will then be able to purchase the machine when more third-party apps are universal or running native on the intel architecture, and you will most likely see enhanced hardware specs by that time. Always happens this way...give it a while and you will be s...

Go and see bands play live. Good bands many times tour with other good bands. It is not as immediately gratifying as surfing the internet, in terms of coming away with "names" very quickly, but, I have found it to be a wonderful way to find new music. The internet serves as accompaniment to live sho...

I don't have any particular advice. I have contacted Phil Delahaye in the past, who has been rather generous with his knowledge.

Phil was an engineer at Roland in the 70s.

Did someone actually write "quantize the amp's performance."cetanorak wrote:I have read the raving reviews about the cans. Just wondering if anyone can quantize the amp's performance.
Oh...that was me. I just read that and have no idea where such phrasing came from. Interesting.

Honest to your god, I was about to type that, but I couldn't remember the exact words. That is hilarious that you mentioned that. What a surprise it was. First off, the layout and components were a site of beauty to my eyes, the true age of it, and then to see that on the tank...I knew this was buil...

Anybody here actually own Grado headphones, namely the Rs-1/2 models? How about the headphone amp...if so, what differences do you notice if you have A/B'd the amp to a standard receiver's headphone amp? I have read the raving reviews about the cans. Just wondering if anyone can quantize the amp's p...
