I'd rather lose my hearing if I had to choose. There's two reasons: a) I don't have to work with sound, and b) artificial hearing is easier than artificial sight. I'd expect in fifteen-twenty years for complete loss of hearing to be curable. It's going to be another ten after that for vision.

I sometimes use two reverbs chained together. The sends of the first reverb (or delay) go to the inputs of the second one. This helps sometimes a bit with crap digital reverbs like the Yamaha digidesk built in ones.

There is one thing that came to mind: did you low cut your recording before the plugin? Could you maybe go and check that your turntable doesn't let through infrasound (rumble from the motor / belt)? I guess that could make a difference especially to the low end.

I would be very surprised if 3d printers were ever used for printing vinyl for listening. The way they work makes it pretty damn difficult to get the resolution needed and printing would take ages.
