The only mixers I have seen die on the job more often than Behringers are Peaveys, followed by Ramsas. I can not stand Behringer. Every hack with a home studio thinks they sound just as good as anything else. Unmixable is what I call the output of those things. Plus if you are going to make a $40 mi...

get some acoustic treatment. At least for the wall behind your head and the side walls. Complete deadness isnt teh goal just lack of resonance or echo. I test with a staple gun (t55) if it makes too much of a rackety echo I put more up. Also look into better AD/DA. If you are doing a lot of just fid...

er uh am I missing something here? the OSA are about the same as the API's. And they only sell their racks as part of a package deal with their pre's.
I think I am going to look into the seventh circle stuff. At least with those you can build your own rack, and your own pres if you like.

well see thats the thing, the kind of pins looks like something that I have seen be socketed in some computer gear, but I also have seen some audio gear with the same kind of pins NOT be removable. I gave it a nudge and it doesnt seem to want to go anywhere. Maybe it'll yield with more coercion. But ...

they do, but I think its more of the transistor front end, tube output stuff. Though the adat toslink output is enticing. [/url]

carbon crystal

I've been digging either an Audio Technica ATM63he or the Audix i5 lately. The 57 just doesnt to it for me. I was a big fan of the 57 on snare until I got the AT63he. do they still make these? I got mine as a trade for a busted mic stand years ago. It has a certain brass to it that neither the 57 o...

Summit 2ba-221 tube?

I picked up one of these the other day. My local pro audio store has a yearly blow out on loss leaders, discontinued, lines they dont carry anymore etc. Got a significant discount, much below the MAP. It works as advertised. Got a couple of nice fat bass tracks with a clean direct plus an overdriven...
