Awesome, I'm glad some engineers are seeing the potential of the iPad as a controller device. I haven't been on here much recently because I have been programming a multitouch controller app which I'm pretty sure will make iPad believers out of all y'all. Just popping into the thread to build hype,...

As has been documented in other threads, I've never had any trouble editing in Logic and I regularly do what was listed above. Ultimately it's a ymmv situation. I've used lots of daws, traction and reaper included, and Logic is the best I've used thus far. Clearly, other feels differently and I don'...

Got to admit I am really wanting one, but being an early adopter is not longer in my blood. I will wait til the kinks get worked out. I haven't found too many quirks yet, but I hear what your saying. Most people seem to think the thing needs a camera, but it's a very large handheld device. I think ...

Someone told me that you can not run more than 1 app at a time on the iPad. I.E. if you are reading a book on it or something, you could not be listening to Pandora radio at the same time, or have iTunes going. Is this true?? Currently, the iPhone OS only supports multi-tasking with Apple applicati...

U can listen to iTunes and do other stuff (aim doing now), but pandora, no.

I already have a device that does all this (and makes calls)...it's called the iPhone. The ipad would be so much more useful to me if it were running Mac OS...but instead it just becomes an oversized iPod Touch. I like my iPhone quite a bit...I use it a lot more than my computer for general daily s...

iPad...yeah, I bought one
And, you know what? It's awesome. I'm writing this post with it while I watch the final. And i think it's gonna replace my tranzport. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIr_POhY8m0 I know there are folks out there who wonder whether its worth it, where it's niche will be, I can say it ch...

I like that acoustic guitar that starts it out. Totally sets up the rest of the album in an accurate but flattering way. +1 At the risk of asking nerd questions at a record release party, was that a ribbon mic on the acoustic? Has that nice clear low Lomax kind of sound. Nice mix, also! Everything ...

So I got the speakers last week and got them in there (it's was freakin' easy!). Haven't put them through the paces quite yet, but thus far, I'm really liking them. Much fuller tone. I think the two speakers are blending well and the breakup is happening at a really nice level. I was finding that I ...

How about going for the real vocal with the band tracking? I'm amazed at how many people are completely and totally opposed to the possibility of trying that kind of thing. Same goes for guitars, even. "Hey, guess what? Everyone nailed that take. It's done . We can use this HUGE amounf of leftover ...

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It really felt good to do that tune, which I've always loved. It's a beautiful song. I've had some folks ask for a downloadable version of it, so I put it up on Sad Iron Music's bandcamp site as a free download. Enjoy. Godspeed, Alex. http://sadironmusic.bandcamp....
