OK, so sue me for the second post, but I wanna mention two specific solos:
Neil Young on "Cinnamon Girl." Could it be any simpler, easier or right?
Reeves Gabrels on Tin Machine's "Heaven's in Here." Could it be any more complicated, sophisticated, or wrong?

Re: behringer b1 vs. studio projects b1?
I have the Behringer B1 and find it useful in a Chinee LD kind of way, espeially for backing vocals, room on an acoustic, etc.
But as Bono, SONNY, said, and Ian Hunter did too:
"Go on and laugh at me!"

I agree with Catoogie on the TS-5 "bugg".
Also with what was said about the Real Tube.

Re: Best earbuds?
The earbuds that I use, various US$20-30 Sony's are rather uncomfortable, especially the ones with the bass thingie that goes in your ear. I like the Sony MDR-A34's, which are an in-ear folding headphone; much more comfortable, and I think they sound better, although you might get a little more outs...

Re: Metallica... what next?
Man, I tried that, and the pure drano ate right through my PVC bong...I reckon it would strip wood, too, and might etch glass. So remember kiddies, stainless steel to smoke your Drano is the only way to go. "Smokin' Drano,"; hmmmm, I feel a song coming on, mid scooped guitars with no leads, a clangy...

Re: Headphone probs?
#1. Gay music needs to be in time, too. I mean, I think. #2 About the loudest headphones I know are the sealed Sony's; V600's are cheapest, 7506's, etc. #3 A suggestion: try some of the in-ear Walkman type phones, either the buds (if they'll stay in) or the kind that are on your head but slide 1/2 i...

Re: ANYTHING BEHRINGER - yeah it's cheap, but we all use it.
Behringer B-1 mic here, US$100 with a shock mount and the most hilarious pop screen/foam thingie ever. Looks cool (without the foam) and sounds, uh, like a cheap Chinee LD that anybody could be selling, but it's only $100 at the z-store, etc... I place my MXL 1006 a little above it for a LD, but I l...

Re: Why I like Guitar Center
Guitar Center is kinda like shopping for clothes at Walmart; I get what I need, but maybe not what I want, and I got to deal with the "greeters." Try it again: Like shopping for jazz or something obscure at BestBuy; they only kind of know what I am talking about, and I have to spend a lot of time ex...

Hey, I like that damnitheads stuff, too.
You might owe Randall for the publicity, or at least 10% of my cover.
I'll try and catch you playing in Chicago, soon!
As for the Nashville thing, it's like any scene. Remember:
Paint not with too broad a brush that you not splash anything on you.

Re: Marshall JCM 800 reissue?
As it happens I own two Silver Jubilee 50 watt 1X12 combos, (which are channel switching, no reverb, EL34 powered and I think 3-4 other (pre amp, inverter?, etc.) tubes (12AX7 or thereabouts.) I've read the amp is the missing link netween the JCM800 and JCM 900, and it does have the FET distortion c...
