Thanks for all your help folks -

I'm going to try and source a custom made enclosure from a supplier in my hometown.

Any idea of a simple to use CAD program?

Sourcing the correct sized enclosure

So I've purchased a couple edcor transformers to make a reamping box from NY Dave's schematic. The transformers arrived and now I want to purchase an enclosure. I've looked at a few places and found the Hammond 125B enclosure. My transformer is 1.5 inches tall. The enclosure says it measure 4 5/8" x...

I've had luck taping a mic on a piece of foam to the top of the speaker stacks on each side of the stage, high pass them and point them slightly in toward the centre of the room. I got a nice image, a nice reflection from the back of the room (depending on the room) and surprisingly little distracti...

Lifetime

I'm listening to the newest album from Lifetime. And it's nice to hear a band come back with an album after many years and maintain such awesome sounds and songs. It's a super fun record and recording.

attempt to make the record feel as much like the live show as possible. This to me is such a huge part of what I like in this kind of music. I've tried micing a clean vocal split and run through a PA and either close micing a shitty distorting PA speaker or recording that sound back in the room. Th...

Electronic Projects for Musicians

Hey Folks - I'm sourcing parts for a few projects in that book and can't seem to find some of the ICs. I kind of recall seeing a thread on here about this, but I can't seem to find it. Is it possible to use different ICs without having to change too much of the circuit? I can't find - RC4739 or XR47...

Need a stereo receiver/phono pre/amplifier

Hey All - I'm looking to purchase a new or used amp for my turntable. Ideally it would have a healthy amount of power the ability to send to two or more sets of speaks, have phono, tape, tuner and aux ins. I've been through so many older amps of the past 10 years and I'm looking to purchase somethin...

Can you cut the leads on a transistor without damaging it, say it was too tall to fit in your enclosure?

I built a Tweak-O some time ago. I scaled the board size down a bit. It was my first project also. I didn't use it much before I pulled it back apart for some reason, but I really liked it. How did you do your finish? I'm not familiar with the small stencil letters. Did you have to make them? I hav...

ENAK Microphone Repair

Hey All - Just wondering if this service is still up and running. I sent an email back in October about getting an old EV V-2 ribbon refurbished and haven't heard back. Any other suggestions on where to go with this?

Thanks for your help.
