Really stuck finding part for a Fender Mustang Bass
I've lost a screw from one of the pickups for my 70's Mustang Bass and I can't find a single damn place on the internet that will sell replacements. I'd buy a box of the things if I could find out where. I've taken one from my spare, a 2002 reissue, but that still leaves me with one bas with a sunke...

Also, it's gonna sound silly, but I was hoping the Walkmen record that came out this year would be as mind-blowing as You & Me. It's still pretty good, and the engineering is phenomenal, but the quality of songwriting isn't as high. Since I heard this and The National quite close to each other I ju...

The only musical gift I got was this, which is ridiculous: http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/stylophone-beatbox/ I'm definitely going to use the snare from it! I got one of those for my birthday a couple weeks ago. I kinda like it. Not looking forward to tempo mapping to it though. I spent a good coup...

favorite reissue: black tambourine - s/t I had absolutely no idea who this band were until I saw references in Pains Of Being Pure At Heart articles. Were they well known? Up to this point I just assumed POBPAH were really into early My Bloody Valentine. The Black Tambourine was one of the first ba...

No, it's a building next door to which I imagine was a later addition to the old mill (on the right side of that picture), which has TAC/AMEK on the side. There was a history of TAC/AMEK that showed them testing a large mixer in the part we're in. The building in that picture is what is now known as...

It was an 1800s mill building and at some point, a company moved in and installed machinery on one of the upper floors that couldn't support the weight. The floor collapsed and it killed a bunch of people. Apparently, Amek employees used to hear odd sounds and stuff. That's going to add a bit more ...

[This building used to be the TAC/AMEK factory incidentally, so some of your desks may have been assembled where we make noise-rock. That's not the building in Salford that's haunted, is it? Chris Garges Charlotte, NC Yeah, not heard about it being haunted though! Our section used to be a studio, t...

As far as whether or not iPods and iTunes are good products.... I have never, ever had an issue with iTunes on Mac. Never. It doesn't run in the background while I'm working. It doesn't cripple anything else I need to use my computer for. It just organizes my media in a sensible way, and provides m...
