the ADCs in the digi 002 are AKM AK5383, which spec out at 110dB dynamic range (DR). pretty good. the DACs in the 002 are AKM AK4393, which are the top of the line AKM DACs. 120dB DR. never peeked inside a roland VS, but at best, they could only be comparable. probably worse.
