That was very cool. I like the concept, and really like the song too.
Did you guys trigger samples on that snare drum in the mix? I watched it on a laptop and couldn't turn it up very loud when I watched it, but it sounded like that was the case...

Kontakt player reverb clicking

Weird problem... first of all, I realize that there are a multitude of settings, both on the PC and within Reaper that could be causing this problem, and that finding another person with this same issue may be a long shot, but thought I would give it a shot.. I am using the Neo Soul Keys Rhodes inst...

It all comes down to what you like, of course.. Depending on the song, sometimes I like really dead sounding drums (later Beatles, John Lennon solo stuff for example).. but I LOVE bombastic roomy drum sounds in the right context, and when I want a reference for that, there are three examples I reach...

Reaper is very solid. Push record and forget about it. It'll run till you hit stop. Man, is this ever true.. I went back and reinstalled Pro tools 7 on my laptop a couple of weekends ago to export some old projects to import into Reaper, and I ran into installation issues and DAE errors and shit an...

Out of curiousity, why did you not have luck with the metal ones? Was it the problem with the esses that you mentioned?

Cool, I think I will pick one up and check it out then.. Pantyhose definitely works, for sure... If I was just recording myself, that would be a good, cheap solution. Since I record other folks though, I want something that looks a little less home grown, if you know what I mean.

Poppin' and lockin'

Probably showing my age with that title.. Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo.. I am thinking about picking up a new pop filter, and keep reading conflicting opinions... metal filters are better than fabric, metal filters are terrible, all filters introduce weird phasing issues so they all should be avoide...

The 4050 is the first good mic that I ever purchased..used, along with a 4047. I got a pretty amazing deal on the two from a friend. I still use it all the time. Sounds great, and doesn't need a preamp with a ton of gain to sound good. I don't own a KSM44, but I have used one, and I know it is also ...

You have no audio at all? What about when you play an mp3 or cd with your computer..do you have audio then? In Reaper's preferences, check your audio settings and make sure that you have the correct soundcard or interface selected. Outside of that, make sure the card isn't disabled and that you have...
