Re: Fat Wreck Chords drum sound!
I think the drums sound good for the type of music.
I like the lagwagon song may 16th alot and the drums on that too.
Gotta have that tight thumpy kit for those fast punk records.

Making a protools mix sound better?
Hi, I am working on some stuff on my lil protools free setup and was wondering about making the finish project sound a bit better.
For instance, is it better to normalize each track individually or normalize the final 2 track mix ? I have some audiosuite plugins too,...
Thanks!

Re: the best of the cheap condensers
The mxl 603, which I think has been mentioned before, is pretty darn good.
I have gotten good drum sounds with it over the kit and as room ambiance for guitar cabs. For the price you can't beat it.

Hi Tape Op Hillary
As I was looking at the 'topic started by list' and saw "TapeOpHillary" at the top, something made a connection in my mind. I was listening to a CD last night that was recorded and mixed by you! I always read and go through the entire liner notes of my CDs', I love doing that. So anyway, I have had ...

Re: Guitar Amp Switchers
Thanks for the reply. I have heard of that box actually and the one thing that I don't like, that keeps me from buying it is that you can only have a a or b or a and b. Not both. I want both options without having to decide on one.
Peace

How long per song
For an average 3-4 minute song with drums,a few layers of guitars, vocals, background vocals, and keyboards how long would you spend to make a high quality recording of a song with many intricate parts ?
Also how long would you then spend on mixing, then mastering ?
Thanks!!
