Don't put too much stock in speaker break in. It's more you getting accustomed to the new sound of your new toy than anything else.

This is in no way an alternative to true creativity.

However, in 100 years from now, I have no doubt this will near totally replace certain "formula mixers", that produce the same sounding material for everyone who uses them anymore. There might even be a plugin for it.

Whatever microphone you think sounds absolutely amazing, put over your drums.

No, good monitors roll off naturally below the point where they are ineffective. Bad monitors try to, and fail miserably as you turn them up, to create low bass.
