I don't know how it can be ignored. It's like watching Little House On The Prairie with hardcore porn snippets flashing at the end. When I hear the list of side effects I always have a good laugh! I don't know who watches those commercials and chooses to take a pill to deal with their restless leg s...

Yeah, these puppies are well-made and affordable too.

I've got an Elitist Casino and that guitar is one of my all time favorites. It's plays like a dream and sounds so sweet.

It's McCartney's favorite guitar, BTW.

Lightning storms and gear

How do you guys deal with lightning storms when they come through? I've heard that you should unplug everything from the wall to avoid the possibility of a close lightning strike finding it's way into your gear (despite surge protectors). I have a friend whose receiver, cd player and answering machi...

What about those photos I've seen of several different mics crowded around a cone on a guitar amp? Isn't that going to introduce serious phase problems? I can't imagine someone is doing that to pick the best single mic of the bunch and nixing the rest. Also, if I record a guitar amp with the back of...

Still have both and I still use the 80-8.

I'm curious about this too because I have a Teac 80-8 that I am about to start using again because it sounds so damn good. My old tapes from the late 80s are all shed-tastic now but some of the even older tapes that came with the machine when I bought it (used) are fine (all tapes are Ampex 456). I ...

I've always loved that Microlimiter but the noise is a drag.

I just listened back to a recording I made and it's only being referred to as "the Pearl". It looked like the DT40 to me.
