Re: Monitors around $700

How about the Event 20/20BAS? I know they supposedly retail for more than $700 but that's what I got mine for. Ya gotta haggle. I really like 'em.

Re: Hitachi Boombox

Bobbydj, The boombox Buddy refers to actually has RCA outs on it. Since yours doesn't you're probably right that you'd have to futz with the circuitry, which unless you know your way around that kinda stuff is gonna be cost prohibitive. Either that or oyu'll have to do that sample the cassette thing...

Re: Hitachi Boombox

I'm not really going for a garage band sound with the boombox, there's something about the built in compressor...limiter whatever you call it. Like Buddy said, it just does wonders for your vocal and drums. I always loved the way my practice tapes sounded recorded on the boombox.

Hitachi Boombox

I read the Buddy Miller interview in Tape Op and really liked what he said about using the built-in mic of his Hitachi boombox to record drums etc. Anyone know what model; he's talkin' about, I located the warehouse in El Paso where he got his but they have a variety of different models. Any other s...

Re: A Switchcraft for Mr. Guitar

Switchhcraft is the name of the company that makes switches, plugs and jacks. www.switchcraft.com You need a 3-way pickup selector switch, Switchcraft is the company or brand name. Almost any music store should have one. My question to you is.. are you planning on installing it yourself? I would say...

Re: Budget All-Purpose Microphone

Can someone tell me a bit more about the AT 3035? A description of the differences between the 4033 and the 3035 may be helpful.

Thanks

TLC: Behind the Music: Bankruptcy Break Down

Does anyone out there remember exactly the breakdown that Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes gave on the TLC "Behind the Music" episode? I'm working with a new band who's indie label is about to be absorbed by a major and I wanted to turn them on to that. I've searched the internet for a transcription but nothin...

I would LOVE to get a copy of that as well if you wouldn't mind. I have a post here regarding acoustic drum samples/loops as well. I would really appreciate it.

Re: A Wizard, A True Star

I may be wrong but I think Soundguy wasn't asking the title of the album but was instead saying that the title of the album "A Wizard, A True Star" is the answer to your question. Although I'm sure Jason Faulkner is a very talented musician, I have a hard time believing he's on Todd's level. And any...

Re: Inaccurate Monitors

I have the Event 20/20BAS and they have low frequency adjustment on the back, do yours have that as well. If they do....turn the bass down.
