they're selling a cd-r of a 'live in the studio' set of the songs their doing on this tour, it sounds GREAT. if anyone has any of the details of the recording, i'd love to hear about them, especially since the recordings were apparently made less than a month ago and i'm already listening to mixed/m...

I dunno, I never have cared for the breakdown. It feels awkward to me, especially the synth thing. But them girls can sing! i don't think i could be friends with you in real life. i'm not even a big heart fan and that synth breakdown is easily in my top 5 most awesome uses of synth in recorded musi...

i kind of want o volunteer to record a local metal/hardcore band for free just to do things totally different than what has become the standard.

i'm still an omnivore but, with the exception of my Jazz bass, i've been using woven nylon straps since 1984. only real problem i've had with the woven nylon straps is they get creased up and i have to retire them for a year or so to let them flatten out again...but some of my straps are from 1985 ...

and yeah, the sampling is such a great feature. if you can hum an A440 you've got the best lo-fi keyboard sound ever.

My gut reaction to this question is to first go back to the mixing stage and try to heat it up there first. Sometimes the most distorted mixes don't necessarily have distortion on everything.
