does anyone else think that "jukebox" sounds downright muddy in comparison? i'm pretty sure she employed a lot of the same people to make it, but it just doesn't do nearly as much for me as "the greatest" did

I dunno, I never have cared for the breakdown. It feels awkward to me, especially the synth thing. But them girls can sing! i don't think i could be friends with you in real life. i'm not even a big heart fan and that synth breakdown is easily in my top 5 most awesome uses of synth in recorded musi...

yeah, i went on CL one day last week and the SK-1 was the most recent listing, so i emailed about it immediately. when i went to pick it up, the lady selling it said that she got a ridiculous amount of response on the keyboard. i'm really happy with it so far, it does so much without any mods, but ...

My gut reaction to this question is to first go back to the mixing stage and try to heat it up there first. Sometimes the most distorted mixes don't necessarily have distortion on everything.

As for someone who recently employed Chicago Mastering Service to master my album, I gave them mixes with absolutely no fades. The thing is that none of our songs really had a fade out at the end except one, which bled into a little bit that became a 'hidden track' in the pregap. They did a really g...

i think vvv's desk is my favorite so far

maybe this thread will get me to clean up my attic space this week sometime. i don't really have a desk, more of a practice space with some DAW stuff integrated into the wall of amps and crap
