Return the Rolls phantom power, and replace it with an inexpensive Mic pre with Phantom power. No extra cable needed. The Symetrix 302 isn't bad for a cheap mic pre, I hear decent things about the cheap MAudio mic pre, and the Studio Projects mic pre too. Don't limit yourself to buying from Guitar C...

I might be missing something here, but what is acting as the mic preamp? Even though you are powering the condensor mic, you still need to amplify the signal. You didn't mention your soundcard having a built in preamp.
