I followed the link to actually buy one and got this http://tonevendor.com/catalog/tops?notFound for the 2XL T. It doesn't look like any t-shirts are available at that site.

I'm not a PT guy but is it possible there is something set in the recording channel on the DAW that's causing problems? What else is in the chain between the mic and A/D? From what you describe I'm thinking something is up besides the room or mic approach.

Yep I've read that and have one at the ready, thanks for the input.

Also, TS thanks for the info on Make magazine, I'd never heard of it but there's some crazy stuff on the website. Pretty cool.

ADA8000 started smoking
With all the data and surgeon general warnings over the years, you'd think this sort of thing wouldn't still be happening...

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll just find some polypro packing material and go with that. The mic I'm going to keep in the case is actually a fairly new RE-27, the case got stolen and I was able to find this sweet old RE-20 metal case for cheap, it's got the old EV logo on it, and had no foa...

Cool Edit pro with a Lexicon core 2, good times when the Lexicon worked, it used to crash my machine regularly. I bought it and within a couple of months it was a dead product and they were giving them away. I still have it in storage somewhere.

I've heard the stuff can be cut with a bread knife using some sort of straight edge as a guide, I guess I'll find out if I can get my hands on some. My other concern is whatever foam I use needs to be compatible with storing mcrophones and won't release vapors that might damage the mic in some way. ...

Mic box foam

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but here goes... I'm looking for a source for replacement foam for an old metal EV RE-20 mic box. I called EV factory service, actually Bosch is where I eneded up and they said they don't sell the foam but would happily sell me a new case. :-) I'm assum...

Whether it's fact, fiction or a mix of the two, I think it's a great read. I'm not sure how many times I've read it but each time I've laughed my ass off.

by clicking sounds are you talking something mechanical with the pedal or the beater or are these possibly clicks caused by clocking issues between your A/D and DAW? Yeah files would be great to listen to.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm running XP on my DAW and I did build a Vista machine to play around with and I'm pretty sure I did some mixes where Blockfish was used and it ran ok but I'm not positive now. I've since flattened that machine.
