Re: V676

Thanx in advance to any and all suggestions. bcgood Check out some of the stuff that Oliver builds over at Tab-Funkenwerks. I have his ...

My new toy...

I am so stoked right now. Just got a brand new Marshall JVM 410. I'm told it's the first one on long island!!!!! Didn't even make to a store. 4 channels of tastey Marshall tubey goodness. The clean channel sounds very much like the JTM-45 that I sold before I knew what was good for me. The crunch ch...

Jupiter, What do you think about your U195? What kind of stuff do you use it for? What preamps does it play well with? -jm So Far it has worked really well on everything I've tried it on. Room mic for drum kit through a Seventh Circle N72. Blended mic on guitar cab with an SM57 Through a Seventh ci...

If you can solder and feel confident I would suggest maybe a Hamptone pre. Either the tube or FET will fit in your budget.

hey Jupiter, Are those Beyer clip on condensers? How are they? They are the Beyer Opus 67 clip on dynamics. In all honesty they are just OK. I thought they'd be much better considering the speck sheet on them. I thought they would reject more cymbals than they do. Overall I think they sound pretty ...

Jackie is coming with me this year and I'm pretty jazzed about it. We're gonna base our vacation around the 3 days in Tucson. Getting in a day early on Thursday to do some time around town. Then 3 days of the con. We head up to the Grand Canyon on Sunday nite. 3 days there riding mules and shit and ...

Urei LA-5

So, I have a chance a getting a pretty mint LA-5. Problem is, I know nothing about this box. Doing a search here didn't turn up much either. First off, it was recently re-capped and the rest of the unit looks really clean. Pigtails on the barrier strip too. My questions are: Is it a decent sounding ...

I have been using 3 things: a sound workshop spring reverb. A lexicon 224XL. A TC M2000. I have mixed a ton of records using the M2000 alone, but with some tape echo as well.... The 2000 is a great box for very little money these days. Hey Joel, That Sound Workshop thingy you have, is it the black ...

Re: 1st rev Seventh Circle j99

Howdy, I'm trying to make some adjustments to a pair of j99s I have but can't figure it out. I've built the current version of the card but this design is quite different. Does anyone have a copy of the original assembly instructions? It would be a great help. Eric You should try going to the SCA w...

Hey Linus, how've you been... Anytime I need to clean something up like tape glue or sharpie I use lighter fluid. Like the kind you would fill a Zippo with. Hope that helps.
