I had the same problem with an Oktava-mod MK-219. Michael was a pleasure to work with and he solved it by replacing the FET. This was the best deal I could find for the Hakko so I went with it.
The deals aren't across the board so there has to be some comparative shopping with other suppliers for other supplies.
