Re: What do you do when your tapeop doesn't come?

I signed up for the 'free' subscription about a year ago. Haven't seen one yet. Maybe I'll stop being a cheap-ass and pay for the subscription! Delivery is reliable for a paid subscription, right?

Re: that crazy fender vibrato, in a pedal???

Whoa... I listened to a demo of that King Trem pedal by Aurolux - thats exactly what I need! Phasey vibrato - NOT tremelo. Univibe clones are not subtle enough. Any other recommendations for that type of pedal? Whats that Demeter all about?

Re: Rush

That swelling guitar solo in 'Limelight' - awesome. A sorta-rare moment of restraint for that band. Don't dare praise Rush amongst your a-hole scenester friends.

Re: Recommendations for Swirly/Vibrato Guitar Pedal

Roger - answering your question: on the Line 6, I really liked the Rotary effect (I think it is the dual rotary one). I messed with the depth, speed, tweez, tweek to get rid of the 'wobbliness,' and gain more of a 'pulsey' warm warble. Like a warm slight chorus with a tad of vibrato. I liked the 'fe...

Recommendations for Swirly/Vibrato Guitar Pedal

My line 6 Modulation Modeler went teets-up. I think I want a pedal that will really shine at one or two sounds, rather than be decent at a bunch of sounds. I'm looking for a warbling-like chorus sound (rotating speaker-like) and/or vibrato that has a warbling artifact to its sound. Primarily to add ...

Re: Cheap ass electric guitar thread

Danelectro anything. I have the 'innuendo.' $220 and has a whammy (use sparingly!) and built in sorta-cheesy-in-a-goodway effects.

Re: Egg Carton padding vs. high end stuff

Careful on the shipping with Markertek - I bought 2 54"x54" sheets, 3 inches thick. $60 total for both sheets. Then I was molested for $40 shipping. That $40 does not show up on your emailed confirmation/bill. Good product, though.

Re: Musicians in Tacoma, WA area?

I'm not ruling out Seattle! I'm surprised the Swervedriver reference has stirred this interest! It wasn't so much the pedal-crazed applications that got me as it was that smooth Brit vocal delivery on top of (or amongst) non-standard guitar stylings. Throw in that occasional gentle surf-whammy - oh ...
