Eddie, You should be able to use the same scale you are using to measure the 1.23v to measure the 385mV. It would just appear as .385 on the meter. If you use a range that is too low most digital meters will just show some sort of out of range message (0L on mine) to let you know you need to go up t...

Yes the channel buckets can be pulled from the top. The back of the console flips back and then there are just a couple screws holding the bucket in. All the connections are on on plugs (conveniently color coded) which you can just pull and then remove the bucket. If you make intelligent choices on ...

One cool thing about the M-520 is that you can pull a bucket of 4 channels, clean the pots and switches, and recap it while continuing to record and mix using the other 16 channels. Once the first bucket is done, stick it back in, pull the next one and repeat the cycle. You can refurb all the channe...

Markertek used to sell certain configurations of those connectors. Tascam used them on some of their equipment also. Hirose is just a brand name like Switchcraft or Neutrik. I am assuming that your connectors are the locking rectangular kind. If so, search Markertek for EIAJ rectangular and you will...

If you actually need a transformer with a center tapped primary, the 22921 is not the right part. It is a replacement for Fenders which use a single ended driver circuit. Most Magnatones I've seen drive the tank directly. What model is your amp?

According to the manual (available as PDFs on Soundcraft's website under discontinued products) that is the correct supply. There was an issue with the connector between the transformer and the pcb on some of those supplies. If you get it you should check for signs of damage in the vicinity of that ...

Do NOT use rubbing alcohol to clean your heads. It is 30% water. Use 99% isopropyl alcohol available from a pharmacy. You will typically need to ask the pharmacist for it. You could also use denatured alcohol from a hardware/paint store.

Ampex 641 is a low output (185 nW/m) voice grade tape. Probably not the best choice for recording music. I don't think they ever made 461...

Have you tried fast forwarding to the long playback part of the tape and then starting play? Maybe it only detects the mode when it starts and then assumes the remainder of the tape is in the same mode.

Rubbing alcohol is typically 30% water. That's why it is not good for tape head cleaning. Most pharmacies carry 99% isopropyl behind the counter. Just ask pharmacy staff for it.

A baritone guitar is tuned a fifth lower than a regular guitar. That means all baritone guitars are tuned B to B, even if they're not black.

It is generally NOT ok to connect the outputs of two devices together with a Y-cable. A mixing network of some sort should be used. Connecting a sigle output to two (or more) inputs is generally ok.
