Sounds good, sounds good..built well will last with heavy use.. I found most converters, I'm taking MOTU, M-audio, RME, Tango, all that stuff will record and reproduce music pretty well as long as what you give them is a good signal..great records have been made with a world of lower fidelity gear....

The reason I would like to do the mod is because, I want to put the shannel stips in a rack and make it look like the API Chanel strip rack, It would therefore be of more use for me and take up less space.

Yeah your right, the Tango24 build can't be really better than a RME build or Apogee. In my opinion if it sounds good than it is good. Thanks for your input guys

its a bit expensive, what about the tango 24 unit, I think those converters are pretty good.

I have a threeQ and it sounds better than all budget pre-amps I have used. The compresser is only a effect (in my opinion), and the E.Q. was used only on a few sessions of mine. I have borrowed the new sixQ and basically sounds the same but it has two channels instead of one.
