I'm assuming it's still starved plate. They did change out the stock tube according to their site; they went from a 12AX7 to a 12AT7. All the modifications seem really well thought out, but I can't justify paying almost twice as much for the mk II; I'm not taking it out on tour, nor am I using it fo...

ART Pro VLA being replaced by Pro VLA II?

So the Pro VLA II was just released, and I was searching for pricing on it this morning. I noticed that a few places were blowing out the original for a little under $200. And then I noticed that most of these places only had one left in stock. I'm guessing that ART is about to discontinue the origi...

Gepco was really helpful in putting together my patchbay system. I went with a pair of Bittrees and a Switchcraft QG XLR patch panel. They are in Des Plaines, just outside of Chicago (local to me, which helped with the shipping cost of all that cabling). Redco is also a really great company. I've go...

Try pulling the Y cable, and replacing it with two TRS cables.

I am getting ready to wire each room with ethernet. Would one use a hub for each channel of ethernet needed for the HDS6 (and you'd run the HDS6 in to the hub) or do you run the cables in series in the walls with out a hub. Just a bit confused to how to run this for a 3 rooms with ethernet in the w...

Thanks, guys! I actually dropped Bill Skibbe an email shortly after posting here.

On a related note, I have my ma tracking down a copy of our family tree to see if we're related to Dan; her maiden name is Flickinger.

Question for Joel RE: Flickinger Mic Pres

Joel, you mentioned in a thread last week that you have some Flickinger mic pres. Would you tell us where you sourced these? Westrek?

Go to The Boro! Is that place still open? It better be; what a splendid dump! When I attended MTSU about a decade ago, I was fortunate in meeting a lot of people in the first week of classes. A few of the professors had us go around the room and introduce ourselves (name, hometown, instruments playe...

Next time maybe we can announce on some other forums and double the turnout lots of chicago guys over on gearslutz and pro sound web . Maybe we can get John hardy to show off his new 500 series  I'm guessing it would be well over double the turnout if Mr. Hardy were to debut his 500-series li...
