You should be fine setting up your system drive with partitions for different OS versions. Digidesign recently released the new MBox 2 "PRO". It addresses alot of issues that should have been addressed with the original MBox 2. It's nice to see it's firewire instead of USB and also word clock was much needed. And it's only about twice as much as the MBox 2.
