I can't seem to find the album, and I also can't remember if it said or not.
Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Session LP was recorded with one stereo mic.
Who knows which mic was used?
I think the same mic was used to record Chris Whitley's Dirt Floor?

Upgrading MacPro system
I'm going to upgrade my MacPro to ProTools 8. The computer is a 2.66 dual processor MacPro currently running OS X 10.4.9. I want to upgrade to 10.5.4 and my MacBook has that system software with it. I can't seem to find the software anywhere else, so the question I'm asking is will the system disk I...

i've had two things happen in my audio career. The first happened a long time ago in the 2' 24 track days. It was my first time as a head engineer in a big time studio. I was tracking a band all live and we were doing about 6 songs. I had no assistant so I was tapeop and engineer. We cut three songs...

No Code is the best record in the Pearl Jam catalog. I have the CD version as well as the vinyl. It was pretty much an under the radar record that had more of a raw live feel to me, and has some of the best songs they've written. I also remember there wasn't hardly any press prior to the release of ...

Thanks for the info. I think I want to stay with Digidesign for now. I've got a nice Apogee light-pipe converter, and that is real nice. The 002 converters I've used aren't the best but they don't exactly suck. The reason for sticking to ProTools, is to keep things seamless when I take everything ba...

About to start doing remote recording with a 003
Hello all. I currently own a HD2 system running on a Mac Pro. I have been getting a bunch of requests to do location recording, so I was thinking about buying a 003 Rack. I currently have a MacBook 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor, with 2 gigs of ram. Is this computer ok to handle 16 tracks of audio...

It's cool
I love mine. Not only for the pre-amps, but I also use the converters to send a mix I'm doing out of the console from my HD system through the api and then send digitally into my old 001.
It sounds fantastic.

RNC and RNLA hookups
I just bought a RNC and an RNLA.
The question I have is how do I hook them up to my batchbay.
I think it goes like this:
RNC has 1/4" TS inputs and outputs
RNLA has 1/4" TS inputs and 1/4" TRS outputs
Is that correct?

Really great mic
I just wanted to bump this up to the top. I'd buy this if I hadn't had such a slow two months. I have one of these mics and they are great on just about everything.
Anyone would be lucky to have it.
