8' is so low though. My commercial studio had 12' ceilings and all my two home studios had 9'. It just hurts my brain.

Yep, Demons sounds just as God awful as M5 Maps. It does appear my power supply is the reason I hear the gasping for current effect on these horribly mastered songs.

Ask youself, how would I feel if I bought a brand new unit from Apogee and they sent you one that someone had clearly demo'd and returned. Would you feel ripped off?

Do you own said machine, or is this a picture from a seller? If it is the later, see if he can get you a better picture so that you can see that bottom track.

+1 for the Otari. Used machines are plentiful and cheap (if you need parts).
