Hope to get around to it one of these days. -Switchable frequency on the EQ -Balanced line input -transfor...

That's a nice little PSU. I can't see needing over 750mA for what I do.

I just made an offer on eBay for $100. Hope I get it!

Oh man, you re-pissed me off about Chinese shit. I bought a little triple output bench supply off ebay for cheap knowing it was built in China. I have seen the exact same unit in everyone's catalog, just branded diffrently so I thought I would be safe. 1'st unit - Transformer extremely loose and ban...

You'll be fine, just wash your hands well before eating/smoking.

Sometimes if I have a lot of soldering to do, I'll stick a tiny little fan in my pana-vice to suck away the fumes.

Re: Recording Light?

(heck - an $850,000 [USD] Neve doesn't have one) What kind of Neve's have you been working on? If I recall, all the V series consoles and newer have the "red light" button on the communications module. The newest neve, 88R has a two function red light button that has a rehearsal mode(just a light),...

There are a couple of other options.

Lon Cohen, in north hollywood
Paul Jameson, in Studio city

There are a couple of others, but I can't rember at the moment...

Call Lon first, that guy has an impressive collection of amps and guitars/basses.

That depends on everything. Education, experience, attitude, ability to work with others, does this person do anything else, like: train assistant engineers, talk to engineers about session details, order rental gear for clients, align machines, maintain studio computer network, maintain web sites, ...

When I blew compressed air threw my server I thought I was going to cause a wreck when the dust blew out onto a main road. It had been running 24.7 for 3 years in a dirty shop!

Did the new fans make your G4 quiet? Mine annoys the hell out of me but I think 50% of the noise is the hard disk.

I manage 16 wireless G devices at the facility I work at, and have never had an issue with audio equipment... Once when a film crew was using wireless cameras, the whole place went DEAD! I would not worry about it as equipment designers incorporate measures to keep RF from coupling into audio signal...
