FS: comps, etc. dbx, Meek, Summit, RNC, Sherman

OK. compressor time with a couple of odd-balls too. Not looking for trades, and would prefer continental US sales. All from the late Clava Studio in Chicago, home of Califone (among others). Shipping will be from ZIP 46304. Here's what I have to offer: Summit Audio DCL-200. Original owner. Comes wit...

was this sent to you personally or did you find it posted somewhere? Dude wants 400 large to build a studio, it sounds like he has no engineering experience, and he thinks money is going to make him a top producer. And he's going to make $800k in 4 years ($200k/yr or $16.7k/month or $560/day EVERY D...

dude, you bought one of those Gyraf 1176's from me. one of them had this terrible persistent noise after the build. Tried so many things. Finally, looking around with magnification at all the ground traces, I found one that had lifted and was all cocked up looking. Jumper and done. Blew a ton of tim...

Got LittleLabs? Can you borrow one? Do I need to sell you mine?

The IBP does neat stuff. Not always perfect, but enough to save some good tracks. And it's real hardware...

This cab was made on the same assembly line as the Fender Vibratone, and the CL-something-or-other for Cordovox. These are awesome, and I wouldn't sell mine, even though I don't have much need for it right now.

Maybe suggest to either the band, the guy, or both that they might want to work up a full listing of personnel/instrument on each song for their packaging. That way, everyone is clear. I've done a bunch of things with many shifting performers and as a peformer I want that stuff noted anyway. Make th...

I don't know the Volumax, but am pretty well acquainted with the earlier Audimax ones (the ones that work with a varistor). On those, the release characteristic is controled by a fixed resistor that can be changed. What that means is a creative person can build a litle resistor bridge on a stepped s...

I have an original Ted Fletcher one. I'd be happy to sell it for $500, but that's a thread for a different part of the forum... anyway, "color" is what this box has in spades. Sometimes way too much. Sometimes it can get a little cloudy or muffled on the high end, especially when really clamping dow...

feel like considering an SCA rack with 2 A12 cards? I had a pair of real API 312's from '72 and the SCA version is better and easier to use in some ways. It doesn't do some of that nice mid-forward grind you can get when driving a 2520 through the original input iron, but that's not a sound you want...

Does it exhibit this behavior at about the same point in a reel? Like, 12 minutes into a 10.5" reel at 15ips?

Tape tension setting is off? I've seen that happen on my bigger machines. I don't know how adjustable the tape path tension is on a 5050...

I can't see the ad at work so I don't know condition or if they are racked, but... 1108's are fantastic amplifiers! I have a pair of original 1108's from one of the United Western consoles that were racked at BAE. Got them for OH duties and I've never been disappointed. Every freelancer that worked ...
