Have Inc. has all sorts of bulk cables. The prices are pretty good (I'm sure there are better deals to be had, but none found by me). Don't know if they have exactly what you want.
FWIW, they get my business

Re: Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, NC - RTP in da' house
I'm in too. The Rathskeller works for me. Too bad there doesn't look like there is any music at the Cat's Cradle or Local 506 (at least I don't recognize the bands at 506: AN ALBATROSS / THE CINEMA EYE / AQUI).
Come on people, lets do this!
CGarges, where are you working? (Just being nosy).

Re: Soundcraft 200B - Stereo Channels
Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. Anyway, I don't think you will be able to use that channel. The connections on the back are not what you need. The strip indeed is a stereo channel, but the back should have connections running down like this: Left input (XLR) Left insert (1/4" TRS) Right in...

Re: Soundcraft 200B - Stereo Channels
Each channel has 1xlr - mic in 1 1/4 - line in 1 1/4 - insert. How can you send a stereo signal to that channel? What is up with the phase button. It is labeled "left". Why wouldn't you want to just reverse the left phase. Also, what about the 2 mono sum buttons? d./ Now that is just freaky. Those ...

Re: Soundcraft 200B - Stereo Channels
Yes, could you be a little more specific? The only answers I can think of is that they work like the mono strips and are only line level. I don't have my manual in front of me, but I think the EQ is more limited. The routing is probably the same except the odd-even/left-right control is balance cont...

Oh yea, if we do it in a studio I could bring my funky Russian RTT MKL101 tube mic, serial number 69 .

Re: Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, NC - RTP in da' house
I can do weekday nights and weekends anytime. It doesn't really matter where, but if it is in the RDU area, I couldn't go unless I got a ride with someone passing through. I don't think I'll have the scratch together for a new engine until after the New Year. Gas is on me and a full tank after the r...

Hey, now that's more like it. The day thing though.... But who am I, somebody? Yea, right.cgarges wrote:I'd be totally into it if it were during the day. And it'd be easier for me if it were in Greensboro or Winston.

Re: Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, NC - RTP in da' house
Hell yea! I didn't even know there had been one before. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to suggest a date or location. The engine in my truck blew up last week and the card is more-or-less maxed. Any Winston/Greensboro people? I'll get the gas. The situation is actually a good thing. I can wal...

Re: The meaning behind your band/name
I got my band name (Sinkcharmer) by misreading a license plate. I was driving to work in Durham, NC and pulled behind a car that had the license plate SNKCHRMR. I had to do a bunch of plumbing type work that day... Still I liked (and still like) how stupid it sounded. Hey I was born in Durham and l...

Re: The meaning behind your band/name
Comming up with band names is such a pain in the ass. It really doesn't matter what the band name is, and stupid band names are just as good as not-so-stupid ones. "Beatles" comes to mind as one of the dumbest band names on the planet, as long as you can somehow disassociate it from the band. As dum...

Re: stereo micing *help*
Ah, stereo micing. One of my favorite subjects. Although most audio books should cover most of the techniques, I would strongly suggest "The New Stereo Soundbook" over anything else http://www.stereosoundbook.com/ . This covers all the information you could ever want and then some about stereo micin...

Re: If you only had $500-$1000 to spend on your only monitor
My own first choice is the KRK V8. While they do make things sound a bit "nice," they are pretty accurate, powerful, and are not as fatiguing at high volumes. I compared them with the Mackie 824 for a bit (which I almost got, but found me ears were screaming for relief after about 2 hours of use). I...
