We ended up taking the hour and a half out of our lives to wait on the phone with Digi for the right combo of surgical percedures and now it all works fine. Thanks Digi-phone guys. I all came down to the Dual core (as we suspected) and after a lobotomy all is well.

I got a Casio SA-5 at a thrift store the other day for $0.40.
It is tiny and digital but sounds really weird.
all the sounds (12) have 4 variations which all just kind of freak out.
like all cheap keyboards it sounds cool through the line 6 pod (unlike guitars which sount like glass turds shattering.)
