Jim, for all your technical ability and know-how, I'm surprised you've never figured out how to fix your turntable.

I ordered some of Audiopile's mic stands a few years ago and gave them all away. Poo poo.

MoreMe's are functional, but sound suuuuper shitty. If you want something a little more pleasant for a similar price I like the Sennheiser HD202s.

Maybe you're not going to the right parties. Maybe you're recording crappy musicians. etc. etc. Music will never lose importance. It's in our DNA. People cling to music like a life preserver. It is absolutely essential to the human experience. Listening trends, style trends, habits, and technology w...

Music isn't as important as it used to be. People have moved on to other diversions. Music is now used mostly as background fill while engaged in other activities. Try and sit an 18 year old down to listen to a complete song, won't happen. They will get antsy and reach for their Government approved...

Nothing I've ever done by myself holds a candle to what I can accomplish working in a group. Not even close, no contest. Differing ideas and viewpoints improve upon each other exponentially.

Be fantastic if someone from Antelope could throw in their $0.02 here. I'm not invested either way but do find this kind of stuff interesting. The Orion is a cool looking box and is reasonably priced for the feature set. Cool to see how these things evolve compared to what was out there even five ye...
