Fender is making great stuff these days. I picked up a 1966 princeton reverb that had a new transformer and reverb tank installed by Savage locally and it is fantastic. Plenty loud. my only complaint is its a bit noisy and the trem is usable but not as good as some other trems I have.

Thats cool. Surely there will be some obscure item in the chain that will instantly make eBay auctions go crazy with bidding.

In particular the guitar recording is spectacular. I also would like to see a breakdown of the set-up at the Loft. Any insight into A Ghost is Born would be welcome as well. There doesn't seem to be much technical info about that one and the Mermaid Ave stuff.

The reason Nel's jazzmaster was unavailable for a throw was it is being refretted locally and I was lucky enough to strum a few chords on it before the procedure. my daughter will one day thank me.

Heres an article from Modern Drummer that discusses the Drum sounds achieved on Sky Blue Sky. There's a whole lot more at his site too.

well I hate to admit this but yesterday I was driving at night and had Sky bue Sky cranked up pretty good and Walkin' came on. With an open mind I listened, it rocked and now I actually like the song. Its the ending that I really appreciate.

Yes Sev. channels (esp. on the expander unit) have balanced XLR inputs installed but I have not tested them to see how much the trim effects input levels. I only used the 1/4" inputs for summing purposes.

Last chance before Craigslist gets involved (don't make me have to resort to eBay). I will consider ALL trade ideas. So 600 dollars to move this beautiful hardware out. Sure it needs some attention but somebody out there must be good at that. Otherwise Vince at Speck still services these.

I'd opt for a made in Japan (1st choice) or Korea (some are not that bad) Epiphone Casino with a Bigsby.

I also recently bought a perfect rolling rack to compliment it.
