Re: Can I install Logic pro on two computers?

The license agreement explicitly allows you to install it on multiple machines that you own or control. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202752 How many computers can I install Logic Pro on? Here's an excerpt from the Logic Pro software agreement: ...you have the right to use the Apple Software as ...

No info on Steven Slate Audio (the makers of Trigger 2) that I can find.

Anybody know if they're sold, as well? Their website is terribly out of date on EVERYTHING (including macOS support).

I ordered some flatwounds. I’m not sure If I’ll be tempted to replace the current bass parts, but you never know. Everything’s pretty much a scratch track anyway lol
Everything's a scratch track until it's released.

Re: Pearl Jam cancels Vienna concert after heat damages Eddie Vedder's throat

Man. As if the risk of any crucial crew member catching Covid, the horrific lack of personnel and corresponding increase in pay rates, the exploding transportation costs, the unavailability of gear, and the market oversaturation due to three years' worth of events all happening concurrently, weren't...

Probably still a good idea to get that 421 fixed, though.

Re: Do Plug-ins have to be "blessed" as "Apple Silicon Native"? to run properly on M1xxx?

Well, a plug-in has to be recompiled to run on Apple Silicon to be "native", otherwise there is no other way to run it than to translate it through the Rosetta layer. However, that generally means that the host DAW also needs to be running in Rosetta mode to see that particular plug-in. When a vendo...

Re: Windows 11 and Firewire

Apple dropped Firewire support a while back. They absolutely did not! Firewire still works fine on Monterey on Apple Silicon (with Thunderbolt 3 —> Thunderbolt 2 adapter into a Thunderbolt 2 —> Firewire adapter). UAD (!) (and other companies) dropped the ball on Firewire support. Thanks for the cla...

Re: Electronic version - how are you reading it?

I have completely stopped reading TapeOp since they cancelled paper subscriptions in Europe. I just can't read magazines on an iPad. I downloaded a bunch of them, but I just. Don't. Read. Them. Shame — it used to be my favourite magazine, by far. I've let my subscription expire. FWIW, a friend of mi...

so is that one of the RE-301 or one of the newer digital units? I thought the RE-201 earlier only had a on/off (cancel delay) footswitch? Or is this a mod? just curious.
TIL that one of the extra features of the 301 (but NOT the 501/SRE-555) is a motor speed control jack.

Huh.

Re: Let's talk your favourite manual fades

those last couple seconds really do matter - and I spend too much time drawing them. lol I sometimes like to use fades as another basis for ear candy, e.g., increasing the reverb as the vol reduces, panning, breakdowns, etc. My favorite is when something really exciting happens in the last few seco...
