Re: how do i get that effect...

The first one sounds like drum samples in a room. the depth sounds like the room sound contrasting with the upfront electronic drums which gives some depth. Second one, you can hear different room sounds on different samples. He may have added a little reverb to the samples, but it very well could j...

Room sounds good

Sitting on the couch strumming guitar, I remembered a song I wrote 5 years ago or so that I had until now forgotten(which was cool in and of itself). I hadn't recorded acoustic guitar in the "control room" in a while- perhaps since I removed the raspberry, wall to wall carpet revealing decent hardwo...

Re: New Forum?

Personally, I wish at they were more consolidated or at least put general, computers, and music/mp3s together. I would rather sift myself than have to look at each forum separately. I guess it'd get messy, but I can deal. I'd also be more inclined to listen to people's stuff. I tend to forget about ...

Re: Smells like indie spirit

Sure man. Be independent by being exactly the same. Everyone has a computer. It has replaced even wanting to play an instrument in most cases. Sick. ? Forgive me if I'm missing something, but you really read a lot more into that than I did, Jeff. "Sick" because he uses a computer to record? If he s...

Re: Blood Sugar Sex Magic and your F you indie spirit

While I absolutely agree with the "work on your skills and stop looking for the magical pre, compressor, blahblahblah for your recordings to improve" portion of this post, I also know I could certainly do better recordings in a Hollywood mansion, albeit one with untreated, parallel walls, but a litt...

Re: OSA gear

The build quality on mine is good too. Solid and clean. Perhaps some of the earlier ones weren't up to snuff or whatever, but no complaints here. I reexamined mine after reading the comments criticizing their quality and didn't find anything questionable, much less shitty. Sounds real nice too.

After power it on and off many hundreds of times the text came back, but none of the buttons working. I still have hope that maybe it will come, back but maybe it...

PCI-X Soundcard for G5 - Suggestions please?

Hello- I was formally using a MOTU 2408 MKII, but got a G5(woohoo) which is great but the upgrade for the MKII is $300 and it seems like I should just get something the can handle 96 while I'm spending the money. So... here's what I would like in it: Wordclock I/O, 2 stereo outs and/or main out and ...

Re: Trying to send some flowers to a friend

How soon is "As Soon As Possible" when delivering to Anazivanostranavaninica? I, too, doubted the stupid American companies could possibly get the flowers I need to Azerbejan as soon as possible, so I drink much vodka and take bath with neighbors. Others citizens tell me too that I will have faster ...
