they do some original shit as well. I suppose any cello quintet playing metal for a whole album are apt to get a bit abit boring, as there's such little variation in timbre. I'd also recomend checking out some of shostakovichs' string quartets, particuarly numbers 1 and 8.

there's a cello quintet called apocallyptica who use alot of rock/metal ideas in there composition. Zey are from germany, and have a terrible image but there music is certainly worth a listen.

Or another way is to record it all slower then speed it up in the sequencer - this may sound like a dumb idea but it actually works realy well because in the digital domain it improves the qaulity of the sound.
