I loved my Ghost. Had a nice sound that I really liked on drums. Sounded like an expensive console, but could be a bit dark(which I liked personally). It has this kind of gray-ish stark quality to it that reminded me of older Radiohead records like OK computer. It's a cool console and with upgrades ...

At the very least, I think you could resell it for more than you paid depending on condition. 388's are well respected for being fun and having a unique lo-fi sound that works just right for certain types of music. And there are fewer and fewer around. If you can't get it going easily enough, you ca...

I have a V69M for sale here on TOMB. It's not exactly what you're talking about, but it is inexpensive.

FS: MXL V69M

Just the standard MXL tube mic. This one comes with it's case, shockmount, power supply, and cable. Works just fine. The mic body is a bit scratched up though. I think there are still some replacement elastic bands for the shockmount. I'm not sure what to ask for this mic. $150? Somebody make me an ...

FS: Orban 424a comp/limiter/de-esser

I have a nice Orban 424a for sale. It has 1/4" TRS pigtails wired to the terminal strips to plug right in to your setup. All works correctly with little noise and no hum. One of the VUs sticks or does not function and at other times it works fine. Other than that, this unit is good to go. Audio qual...

I'm all about plates here. I have a Wedge. That's something Alesis did right, reverbs. Those 2 units are very nice sounding reverbs. More than usable IMO.

I had a 488 potrastudio back in the day. It was the second recorder I ever had after a Fostex X-30 4 track. I made some really good recordings with the 488. It was better sounding than the 4 track for sure. A friend of mine has a 238 and he's done some cool sounding stuff with it. They are fun for s...

I picked up an Orban 424a at a local shop a few days ago for a price I won't post. Been listening to some stuff through it. It's quiet and sounds a bit beefy. I like it! Got a great deal too!

Hey Crow--thanks for the tip about the Action List, that just made my day! I've been evaluating for a little more than a month now, but I'm ready to hand my money over. I'm amazed not only by the fact that you get so much for your dollar--and I mean quality as well as quantity--but by the fact that...

I quit for 8 years, then relapsed for 9 months and quit again with the help of the e-cigs. Smoking sucks! :D
