centurymantra I build the NYDave reamp to use for very purpose (reamping is also very cool) It is totally worth it, easy build and inexpensive. I was getting too much distortion from my pedals and things were sounding very blown out. The reamp gives you a lot more control. Like farview said- Some pe...

Clock and converters. Analog guy needs some help.
These two things come up a lot. Can anyone help me wrap my mind around how these things work together to make better quality audio? I have a digi002 rack and the ADA8000. Of course I want my stuff to sound the best that it can. Right now I have the ADA acting as a slave because I assumed the clock w...

I appreciate that you are trying to head off bad information. I've learned a lot from posts where healthy debate leads to the best and most solid practice. It just seems to me that the personal attack was rude. Enough about that. I'm more interested in the discussion about the tape being directional...

Voiceover mic for the home studio
I'm sure you have recommendations for me. I'm in the market for another VO mic. At work I'm using a AEA 84 ribbon mic with the voiceover mod and it is great, I love it but I'm looking for something that I can keep at home. I'm looking for something around $500-700 tops that I can put in front of bot...

Oh that makes sense. The kick and snare on his system would also be delayed so I can just make sure that I group the newly imported tracks and then line up the transfered kick with the original kick and the new group will be aligned. I like simple. Nice work around. The name of the song is actually ...

Cubase tracks don't align with PT tracks
This seams odd to me. Our band tracked some basics at our studio in PT 7.3. I gave the songwriter/recording partner some of the drum and scratch bass tracks (.wav) to use as guide tracks for recording acoustic and a few other things at home. He tracked a few OD's in Cubase. He sent me a few bounced ...
