Awesome! More impressed with the seventeen foot keyboard to the rightt there. Keying commands would be like playing Twister..

Re: Tascam 388 Maintenance, Repair and FAQ thread

Hmm. There's a tension arm adjuster screw in the top section (where the meters are). Do you have the manual? https://museumofmagneticsoundrecording.org/images/R2R/Tascam%20388%20Manual.pdf I see the link on the first post of this thread is dead, but this link above has a nice scan of the Tascam 388...

Re: 21st Century Stereo Mix Down Deck

So, anyone know of a device out there that'll take stereo analog and spit out MP3's and WAV's ? Perhaps to a memory card that I can then sneaker-net to my desktop in my office? (or straight to my network/soundcloud would be even awesomer) These are what Mark was talking about. Might fit the bill. C...

Mark,
So what are you using to record with these days?
How's it working for you?
Is your bass on a stand too close to a door like in Janek Gwizdala's room? ; )

Tascam 424 mkII.JPG Tascam 238.JPG having cereal at my desk, catching up with Floid and MarkJazz Bass-est. Looking for granules of insight, from manuals on the website, 424 vs 238 both go 9.5 but wait, the 424 goes three and three quarters, the 238 three and a half, why the disorder? Regardless of ...

Interesting! Had not been aware of that, thanks! ________________________________ "Hello, MultiTrack Recorder Repair and Restoration, How may I help you?" Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....

Man you know I’ve wanted an Enzo (though I have a lot of vintage guitar synth boxes already), but the secret button presses required on every Meris product turn me off. Yeah, I'm thinking I'd go with labeling those suckers.. And point taken. It's not like it's just a dirt box. This is a freaking gu...

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....

Two pieces to possibly be acquired in the foreseeable future should I decide to actually go through with purchasing these two items that have caught my attention, fancy and apparent gear lust..

LAA CUstom SmartSwitcher system

and a Meris Enzo. Damn those are cool.

Re: vinyl collecting ( and surrounding planetary atmosphere )

Guy at work gave me his aunt's unwanted Dual 1229Q idler drive turntable several years ago. It had a broken tilt-back removable cover and all the transport linkage was seized. I had been thinking for sure I'd need to take or send it somewhere, but after reading up on them for a time found I could ge...
