Re: Vox Pathfinder 10 vs. Orange Crush 10
i have the crush 10, and it wails for what it is. wish i would've gotten the reverb-ed one though. i actually had to tighten some of the screws before i could record with it. i was getting crazy amounts of vibration in the cabinet itself. didn't think that it would be a problem with 10 measly watts,...

Re: loops on a pc?
ableton is what i was thinking. i'm trying to do it with cool edit now, and its a wicked pain in the arse. i saw my friend lining stuff up perfectly in ableton, and it looked so freakin' easy. i guess that's the way to go. that or i need to quit printing effects to disk and wait till i have the loop...

Re: Has anyone had a good experience with anything Berhinger
e cue - i was talking about the vamp 2. i never used the first one so i can't vouch. but, i will qualify my earlier praise by saying this... i have never played through a "real" amp, so i don't know the difference, and i never use the line direct except to add color (although i can see the useful-ne...

Re: Has anyone had a good experience with anything Berhinger
i can't believe that nobody here got sucked in by the v-amp line. i've got one, and for $90 or thereabouts... it rocks! sure, it'll probably crap out in a couple of months under use, but hey i didn't go and spend all sorts of crazy guitar shit trying to figure out what my sound is, only to sell it b...

Re: good sounding DAW for under $400?
to re-ask blu's question: does anyone here have samples of work that they have done on MOTU stuff or the echo layla, or is everybody on the 1010 wagon? i like what i've heard on the 1010 so far (thanks sigrant/dwlb!), but i'd like to be able to compare it to something. mpedrummer i'm looking at you!...

Re: Building a Recording PC
yr best bet is to visit the user forums for both the program and interface you're using. you've already got some decisions made, so follow their logic instead of floundering in other people's opinions, unless they use the same things that you do. there are some general opinions that are worth hearin...

do any of these digi-multitrack things have built in limiters? or do they clip like other DAW's when run into the red?
