Yeah, I have thought about this several times over the past year, as I have had to break down and reassemble my mixing arrangement quite a bit. I use passive monitors, but notice the same thing, they sound better with the power amp opened up. Of course, more is just more beyond a certain SPL, especi...

Help me clean out my basement! I have the following for sale, and might add more later today as I think of things I have hidden away here and there. All prices negotiable, and I am definitely interested in trades of all kinds. Ramsa WR-8816 console with power supply- $SOLD. 100% functional, all pots...

I have wanted one of these for quite a while. I have two Galanti guitars and they're my faves.

Glad you like my handle. It came from a friend who works at a community center/art space where I do sound a lot, mostly 1- or 2- mic spoken word things, but once in a while it's more interesting. Anyway, they have a coffee shop there and needed a simple setup for an open mic jam, and offered to trad...

Looks like an allen set screw to me. Not that it would be easy to measure, but you can get some pretty dang small allen wrenches- like .028", which is less than 1/32 of an inch. The small ones are super cheap too. You can get them here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#allen-wrenches/=5w11de At some point a...

I know the idea is to make it look vintage and old, but I for one wouldn't want to drop big money on a vintage guitar that someone treated like shit and destroyed. If it's your guitar and you're the one who wore it out and you've come to love it and know it sounds great, that's cool. I can totally ...

I don't know anything about this company, but when I see a paragraph like the following, with many and egregious typos, it doesn't inspire confidence. I know poor grammar and translation are ubiquitous nowadays, epsecially on the internet, but it still makes me grumpy. "If you are looking for a vari...

If you use an epoxy paint designed for concrete floors, move all your stuff to one side of the room, paint that side. 24 hours later, you move everything onto the painted side and paint the other side. those epoxy paints dry fast and can take traffic very quickly. Positionable carpets can be useful ...
