But what if the sound I recorded was a triangle wave? If the D-to-A converter turns that into a sine wave, then it's doing something wrong and taking away harmonics that should be there. So let's say I'm recording a 22.05kHz sine wave at 44.1kHz sample rate, and by pure dumb luck, my wave peaks line up with the sample timing, and I actually get one sample at each peak, top, bottom, top, bottom, etc. When that wave is redrawn, will it be redrawn as a sine wave, or a triangle wave?
