Anyone know where to get one of those knob tools?

I'm about to dig in to some old Sound Workshop Series 30 modules, and need one of those tools one uses to remove the knobs. I think they work on SSL's, AMEK's etc. There's on on ebay right now, but it's $60, which seemed high. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

Business management software.

I know, fun topic huh? I did a search, and was surprised at how little has been covered on this subject, so maybe it's alright to bring it up. I want to get the business side of my studio running better. I've investigated a couple of programs for running the business end, but both I've found seemed ...

'73 Les Paul Deluxe, routed out for a pair of "lawsuit era" Ibanez humbuckers. The single heaviest guitar I've ever picked up. AMAZING sound. Sound City 50 Plus head. I bought it from a pawn shop when I was 18... a LONG time ago. Great sound, and after this many years, emotional attachment. I had th...

I'm a PT user, and I've messed around quite a bit with Logic 7, which I find REALLY complicated. It seems to make things harder than they need to be... especially in the project/session setup part of the program. It's a really cool program as far as instruments and creation go, but man it's hard to ...

Were you doing "in the box" mixes on that new HD rig? Because the main things in HD I kind of wish I had were automatic delay compensation, and the fact that the internal mix buss allegedly sounds better... I was only tracking, so I didn't get a chance to try the ADC or mix buss. I wish I would hav...

I'm running a Mix 4 with 3 888/24s at my studio, and a Mix 2 with 1 888/24 at home. I just spent a few days working on a very new HD rig, and thought the conversion sounded quite a bit better with 192's, but besides a few bells and whistles in the software, for my uses, 6.4 is still viable, and the ...

I am downloading the refill packer right now... If I have time, I will mak a refill for people on this board. I have some pretty great drums I have recorded that i use all the time.. like a great kick drum recorded with a FET47 close and a 47 in the room, summed. Same deal with the snare: top , bot...

Question about AES inputs.

I'm trying to understand AES inputs a bit better. Here's what I'm trying to figure out... I have a PT Mix era system with 3 888/24 converters. The 888's sound pretty.. well... really crappy, and I was thinking about upgrading to a Lynx Aurora 16 for my setup. I'll move to HD eventually, and the Auro...

Been having some good luck with this myself. For some reason, I'd never thought to try it until recently.

Yet another acoustics question.

My room is midrange hell, and I'm trying to address it. I know that all rooms need bass trapping, and I've heard that many times, bass trapping will actually help a room sound less midrange-y. Has anyone else experienced this?

I know this is a strange question, but I had to ask. Thanks!

I have a Peterson VS-1, which works great. I've always felt that 5th fret harmonics give the clearest signal to most tuners, and that given regular intonation, I have better luck with that than using open strings... though sometimes the B and high E strings work better with open or 12th fret harmoni...
