Is the Loop better or worse? I mean, good transport, but more expensive drinks and parking ... The Loop's a hassle if you're driving IMO, but great if you're taking the Metra in. Is there any place to get cheap beer in the city anymore? Maybe L&L Tavern....mmm, Pabst on tap! HA! I'm totally open. M...

Let's try to get more than 5 attendees total (only 3 at once last time). Doing it on a Friday in an attempt to get more folks from the burbs in. Venue suggestions welcome.

Chicago TOMB Hang - Nov. 14th

Anyone still interested in getting together on Friday, Nov. 14th? I think we need to choose another venue this time. Any suggestions?

I hate bears.

"I hate bears." - Bob Dylan's "Talkin Bear Mountain Picnic Massacre Blues"

Sorry I had to throw it out there; I love that song.

dd - Looks cool, as always, and very tempting at that price!

Hey Marshall!

Great idea, man. Don't know if I'll be able to make it up from Homewood tonight, but wanted to wish you good luck regardless.

FYI - I PM'd you my contact info too.

Unfortunatly the project fell through and I'm recording a 3 piece power pop band for the project, which is more up my alley. Looking back, this was a silly request. I just need to find a way to become familiar with the room and the sound of the equipment. I'm going to try and see if I can sit in on...

OK, week of the 14th, let's revive this thread!
Nice! I still have my copy on 45.

We should start a new thread for the next one - for sanity's sake.

November 14 or 28 are good for me. Did I ever mention my old power-funk band used to cover "Earache My Eye"? That's awesome! I kick out "Basketball Jones" and a couple others every once in a while when testing new mics or setting levels; those and the intro to "Penguin in Bondage" from Za...

Rock Bottom won't take reservations for the back room / pool room, but they are aware we are coming and don't think it should be a problem. Just mention "Tape Op" at the door.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight and nerdin' it up a bit!
