No offense taken, thanks man - I really appreciate that..

I was just defending my side of the topic - but I'm still OK with being a candy ass. :)

I dunno, I kinda resent the idea of loops being for candy asses. If you make them yourself, what's the problem? A lot of what I do is loop based, but it all stars with a few mics and instruments.. Conversly, nothing drives me crazier than hearing talentless ass monkeys making ton's of money and taki...

OK, take both tracks, as is, the way you recorded them, bounce them to a new mono track - this track will be your new left channel. Now back the the original tracks, invert only one - technically, you would invert the sides, but it will really work either way - but only invert one channel - that's t...

If you've gotta wait 10 years to know if you like something I guess it makes car buying cheap.

Depending on your reasoning this might just completely defeat your purspose to re-amp, but in some cases it's all you need. I do this on occasion since I record myself more than anyone else. Plug into your amp as usual and get your sound, use your effects loop. Take the send (or the very last output...

Well, I just took the mixes out and heard them in a few different systems. It gets so frustrating. They don't sound as strong in some good systems. I'm thinking more main vocal through the verses in "Blame Will Make it Better", and also in "Betrayl". Maybe less back vocals in "Walk the Circle".. Pro...

The guitars were live also, up to a point. All the parts were played to a click track - usually about four times each, then I'd change pickups, or preamps and track again for 2 different flavors. The best 1 of each flavor was used, then one panned left and the other right. --Oh, I should also mentio...

I blended a rode K2 and nuemann km105 together for a lead vocal sound in a heavier chorus section of a song. The nuemann is a live mic mainly and seemed to pick up a lot of grit... My K2 is a sibilance monster.. Never have gotten it to sound good on vocals - but I use it as a room mic a lot - maybe...

OK, I've been on here for a few years now, and never been brave enough to put my stuff on display in front of all you guys.. But this is the next step. I need to do this to get better. I've swallowed my pride, and I'm ready for the brutal beating. Everything you hear is all me. I don't want to tell ...

I would think, unless your trying to get some distortion from the mics it's self, I'd probably shoot for something with great feedback rejection, like an Audix or AKG vocal stage mic. Audix OM5 is my fav. I see green bullets used a lot for it, but I'd think it would be a lot easier to crank more gai...

The coolest sound I ever got with a condensor on a kick was an MC012 on the beater side with an omni cap. It had a very scooped feel. Very responsive on the upper mids to highs, and pretty much nothing between that and the lower sub freqs - like 60Hz-ish.. Slappy and Subbie.. It didn't end up workin...

The only virtual instruments I every really work with are drums. I usually sample segments or individual hits of my own drums. Sometimes I'll sequence all the kick and snare hits, then track my hihats and cymbals together, this way kick and snare are always in perfect time, and I don't have to worry...

There's a trucking company called ABF, last time I did this, they were the least expensive. They drop off a trailer at your house, you pay by the amount of space you use. You call them when it's loaded, they pick it up, and schedule a day to drop it at the new place. I think that division is called ...

Re: Overdrive for a Twin Reverb

i dont like a very "distorted" tone. i like it to sound like the tubes are driven. and i dont like the sound too driven (I use fuzz for that). i want it just be just a nice warm break up of the sound. That's funny, I just found a way to get an awesome breakup with my fuzz pedal (BBE Free Fuzz). I t...

I like to use lo-fi sounds. Think of those picture or commercials where everything is in color but the main character or object is in black and white. It helps it stand out, and the contrast creates more depth. Sometimes, just for an intro, or a breakdown - I like to go with a lo-fi sound, then when...
