Quantegy makes 60 min cassettes as well.. The only cassette that has been giving me problems in the past 5 years has been TDK SA-X - stay away, they warble like mad.. Otherwise, any 60-74 min high bias (type II) will do. I've used other tdk's, maxell, fuji, rat shack, quantegy, sony..

Just put up a mic and stand at least 4-6 feet away. get a few others to clap with you. track it 2 or 3 times and mix them together. Don't listen to any of the other passes as you're doubling/tripling it, it'll sound more loose that way.

Bizarre problem.

The V67 loves my voice. Never tried it as a room mic, but, as others have said, for male voices it can be very flattering.

When you're down to wondering if the quality of the cable is the problem you're fucked.
