Thanks for the input.

Looks like I will be getting one of these.

I just need to figure out how many keys.

My rhymes flow with such ease.

I hope LIVE lite ins't just a tease.

sorry

Tell me about your Axiom

How do the semi-weighted keys feel? Are the pads easy to work with? (they seem a little cramped, but I've only seen pictures on the internets) Are you using it also to control transport and other functions in the DAW? This seems like It could function as a handy (but limited) controller. I can imagi...

I usually use a light saber.

I think that the metering goes above 0 is significant. or is it? Anyway I've had this installed for a while but hadn't actually tried it out.

energyXT is king for MIDI, imho. More intuitive than Live, for my taste, and a great piano roll. Also, V2 (now in beta) has an AMAZING drum track that you can drag samples into. I dowloaded the demo of energyXT a few months ago and couldn't make heads or tails of it. I will go back and check it out...

intresting. So you are recording the side mic on two tracks simultaneously? Or is one just not armed, but set up to monitor somehow? Using HD correct? I have too much latency in my system to monitor this way. I am usually using two different mics for the MS (I don't have a pair of multipatterns) In ...

When I first started using M/S I wasn't able to monitor the decoded image. I got ok results but it really started clicking when I got an Mackie 800R which had the encoder for the first two channels. I haven't read many people emphasizing the imperativeness of monitoring in M/S. It is obvious that yo...

I have an 828mkII. I would guess the pres are similar to the 8 pre. I really think the only thing "wrong" with the MOTU pres is a lack of gain. They get the job done on most sources and I like them a lot on electric guitar amps.

Ok good fights over. :D If I feel something was recorded to wide, instead of panning stereo tracks inside of hard L and R, I've been duplicating the track, summing it to mono and blending it with the stereo track. I haven't explored weather or not this does anything crazy in mono, of if there are ot...

I go with 48K. My computer can't really handle 88.2 or 96k, and I just think 48 sounds better than 44.1. I do not worry about sample rate conversion. I do not worry about "math". Really can you tell me if one math equation sounds different than another?

I was very much into Mahavishnu John Mclaughlin for a while. Was Very much into fusion from that era. I love Weather Report, lots of Chic Corea, Miles Davis (you must own Bitches Brew) Lots of music from that era is so great. I have to ask, since you mentioned Morricone and Mahavishnu in the same se...

Great. I am happy to hear your perspective as a Samplitude user. I appreciate the thoughts on Reaper as well. Just because of the cost issue I might chose Reaper over Samplitude - for now. Now hopefully some Pro toolers will come along that can compare it to Reaper or Sampltude. Ahh! now I realize w...

Are you an artist or an entertainer?

or are you Prince and do both amazingly well? or are you a characture of either? What popular (or not so popular) musicians do you consider artists? entertainers? Who do you look up to more? Which do you aspire to be? I'll give an opinion. maybe it's true. these are just off the top of my head. arti...
