I saw that mod somewhere (I can't remember where either). Seems like this is all the more reason to pay $20 rather than $50, in case I pooch it due to my soldering skillz.
Does anyone think my price matching trick will work?

Rocky Road chafe at MF
Hi everyone, I kind of wanted to get one of those Danelectro Rocky Road pedals (the "Leslie simulator") and MF was blowing them out for $19.99. I called them and the guy says they haven't had them for a while, even though I just got the new catalog with this blowout. So, do you think it would be pos...

Re: oktava on sale at Chicago GC
The Boston GC has them for $49.99. I don't know how many they have in stock, but I got a 319 yesterday no problem.
Well, no problem other than having to put up with the usual idiots playing Sweet Child O' Mine at top volume while I waited for assistance.

I so thought this was finally going to be the movie where Sam and Frodo kissed, but I guess the viewing public isn't ready for hot hobbit-on-hobbit action.

Re: Favorite home recordings?
What about Howe Gelb? I just got "Confluence" and while I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing, what I've heard is pretty cool. Does anyone know if Tom Waits' "Bone Machine" was home recorded? I know that the opening noises are the musicians banging sticks on some pavement (after having...

Re: where is my issue? and where can I buy my own bar code?
We're getting our CD done through Omnidisc (www.omnidisc.net) and they give you a barcode, and then have the form on their web page to register the bar code they give you with Soundscan so you can track it. I think registration costs $15.

Re: Oktava MC012's crazy cheap right now
Right now we've been using the Behringer ECM8000s for our drum overheads. Would the Oktavas be any better/different? Or would we just be changing to a different flavor of cheap?
