Pinetop Seven's Bringing Home the Last Great Strike is the only amazing record of this soon-to-be middle aged decade. Discuss.

Re: more s--- from the bogus captain

I liked it alot. What kind of machine is the 8 track? Also, can you elaborate more on other gear used (mics, outboard, mixer, preamp, etc.)?

Re: old recordings

Well, this was recorded with a fostex mr8, digital 8-track. But I do agree that 4 tracks rule. :-)

old recordings

I love to go back and listen to some of my first recordings and compare and see how much better I've gotten. Although I am fairly new to recording in general (started like in january of this year) it's possible for me to do this already, as I have gained a lot of knowledge from sites like tapeop and...

Re: Rough mixes seeking harsh criticism.

I really like philosophy...extremely well done and excellent for the equipment (which is far better than mine). I agree with electricide about the bass being a bit too loud. I absolutely love the vocals though and agree with the death cab influence.

Re: Morgantown, WV

I live in huntington, WV. There is probably a little bit more of a scene here, between huntington and charleston. There are quite a few local venues and a few promoters. My friend and I like to get together and mess around (audio-wise) and I do stuff on my own. Unforunately, west virginia is just no...

drumsss

Hi everyone. I've just been home recordin' since about January. Sometimes my friend and I play together and record. I was interested in getting the best drum sound I could given my very limited and cheap equipment. Do you think these drums sound decent considering?? The set was a pearl forums with a...
