Shit, I'd be happy sleeping on his floor. Very well said.

Freaking school bills..selling mics help with buying new one
Okay, due to the ungodly rising tuition of the University of Nebraska, I am forced to sell some of my mics. So long my not so beloved C1000s's and my lovely 3035. Ah, but I need a replacement for next weekend. I don't really have quality overheads anymore and I was thinking about picking up a pair o...

Re: How is business in your neck of the woods???
whoa, upon reading my post again, I seem a little ravenous. Sorry if I come across that way. i have great disdain for people who come to me and try to get me to record "that great 3 doors down" guitar sound. I don't mean to bash top 40 radio, but it's in a sorry state right now and I feel it reflect...

Re: How is business in your neck of the woods???
I think the slow-down can be attributed to the 'dumbing' of music listeners. Why would a band who listens to top 40 radio feel the need to spend $1000 on a good recording at a well known local studio when they can buy some Tascam 222 Cubasis thingy or some Behringer DAW for $300 and get music that s...

Re: Yamaha MG24 - Recording Desk?
If this means anything, I have an MG 16/4. I love it. It has good transparent preamps and it has some nice features on it that I couldn't find on other boards in that price range. It's was a good buy for me. I like it better than my friends Mackie VLZ Pro. I mean, I know this thread has nothing to d...

Re: Humble Room Studio Pictures
Looks very cool. As a bedroom studio coneussior (SP?) myself, I must say I am quite impressed. Question: On the first picture, you have a pair of those (I believe) Audio Technica ST-90's? Am I right on that? I stumbled upon a pair of those. I like them for toms, but is there any other practical use ...

Ahh, excuse me for my poor writing habits. I've drank too much coffee and haven't smoked enough cigarettes yet to make my mind work correctly.

Questions about the C200B and The C1000s... SAME THING?
Hi everyone, I have been looking for a reliable backup to some of my older microphones. I had a scary incident this weekend where I was recording with some of my friends and the singer decided he wanted to scream into my RCA varacoustic. I came to the conclusion that I needed a newer, less fragile m...

Re: Avril Lavigne's roots
Yes, Grade was awsome prior to victory, although Under The Radar was one of the coolest albums to come out of the underground late 90's. Just so everyone knows...this is a real site. I came across it a few weeks ago while doing a report on the marketing and popularizations of the underground/indie c...

Re: Avril Lavigne's roots
i heard rumors that the bassist for Avril was the bassist for the hardcore/Screamo band "Grade". Is there any truth in this? Grade was awsome. I'm not a fan of Avril.

Freaking Locking Up stupid freaking computer...
Okay. I was running acid pro the other day, just minding my own business setting up some loops for a band that's recording here. All of a sudden, it locked up. Well, that pissed me off. But I hung with it, restarted my computer and waited. Normally the thing flies to a reboot, but this time it took ...

Re: Your new console
It has become my sad realization that it is not the equpitment I buy, the techniques I use, or the people I know that will hold me back as an engineer or producer in this world - it's not having any shiny shirts.
