Just listen yr whole image collapses low end and top end go to blur If you can get it to sound great bounced, then all you need is a decent set of converters..... you would be suprised how many INDUSTRY people actually USE the bounced mixes for Finals to be sent to Mastering.....im gonna puke right ...

I was in a similar situation and used A bootable SpinRite software disk.....it took 16 hours for 200 gigs, but in the end it made it nice enough to copy...Spinrite even works on external drives

I just got some mix work from some old friends living in the mountains of China/Nepal, They are using Adobe Audition 1.5 ( i havent used it since it was cool edit pro in 1997 or whatever) and sent me a DVD of the PKfiles and Audio. A friend loaned me an old laptop that is running audition and it see...

i always have one of those cheap mxl 603ss or whatever up over the drummers head.....great 'pinch' mic to have during a thick mix when you need the drums to slim for that huge string section bridge and baritone solo!
